Our Work

Horizon has worked with Planet Ark on major campaigns such as National Tree Day, National Recycling Week, Recycling Near You, Make it Wood, Cartridges 4 Planet Ark and the National Circular Economy Hub. Our work includes communications strategy, media relations and targeted social media recommendations.

In our capacity as Planet Ark’s strategic communications advisors, we have:

  • Provided ongoing strategic communications advice to campaign managers and cost-effective ideas to maximise audience reach and engagement.
  • Reinvigorated or restructured campaigns.
  • Renewed efforts on content creation, social media presence and work with community intermediaries.
  • Conducted a structural review of the organisation, providing strategic recommendations to the board and management team.

RESULTS

Results

In the 23-year history of National Recycling Week campaigns run by Planet Ark, the 2018 campaign supported by Horizon received the most media attention to date, with more than 1000 pieces of coverage including broadcast, print and online from titles and syndications across the Nine newspapers, News Corp and The Guardian, ABC TV and radio, 2GB, Sky News and SBS. As a result of this extensive media coverage, the Planet Ark website received its highest ever rates of visitor traffic.
