ANZPAC Plastics Pact
CONTEXT

An initiative under the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Global Plastics Pact initiative, the Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Island Plastics Pact unites industry and governments behind a set of regional plastic reduction targets.
Context
To address this challenge, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, one of the world’s leading circular economy education bodies, developed the Global Plastics Pact model, which enables them to work in partnership with on the ground delivery partners to launch localised plastics pacts. These pact programs bring businesses and governments behind a shared vision of a circular economy for plastic, where plastic never becomes waste or pollution. In 2021, the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) launched a Plastics Pact for the Oceania region.

- Launch event: Horizon launched the ANZPAC Plastics Pact in May 2021 with a hybrid live and virtual event at the Australian Maritime Museum, delivering full event support and a proactive and reactive media relations program.
